LETTER FROM THE ODBC PRESIDENT

I would like to report that the Ocala Duplicate Bridge Club sectional tournament was once again a very successful event. We had a record number of tables totaling 265 over the three days compared to 255 in 2007 and 230 in 2006 & 2005. Congratulations to everyone who placed at the top of their sections and strats.
Our tournament directors Karl Miller and Jim Thomas ran the games efficiently and professionally to the benefit of all players.
In keeping with the theme of our awards banquet, "Honoring our Volunteers", we owe a special thanks to the many members that make this type of event possible.Partnership -- Ceal Regan

Finally, it is a rare pleasure when someone in the group scores a "Personal Best" -- a "10". This goes to Kenn Thornton (and her husband Chris) for the food prepared and served throughout the tournament. For quality, quantity and variety it was outstanding.
